You will be able to determine if you need to drink more water if the color of your urine is a little darker than it should. If your urine color looks clear, it means that you are drinking enough.
  2. Lemon juice and olive oil. This combination is one of the most effective especially when you are already feeling a little discomfort. Lemon contains citric acid which is helpful when it comes to breaking down or dissolving kidney stones and halts its further growth. What you need to do is to take 4 tablespoons of lemon juice and 4 tablespoons of olive oil, and drink them together, followed by plenty of water. You can do this twice or thrice a day but for larger kidney stones, you may want to consult a doctor.
  3. Apple cider vinegar. Apple cider vinegar is known to have many health benefits and one of them is to treat kidney stones. Take 2 teaspoons of raw apple cider vinegar mixed with 1 teaspoon of honey in warm water, then drink it a few times a day.

Pomegranate juice. Pomegranate is also one of those that have been found to stop the formation of kidney stones so if you are at risk for kidney stones, it is advised to drink a glass or two every day.
