Experts say that an egg a day is the answer to keeping your heart problems away.
Eggs, especially the yolk, are always linked to acquiring heart illnesses including high blood pressure. Some health enthusiasts discourage those who want to reduce weight and fat to eat the yolk of an egg. On the other hand, they recommend eating just the egg white as a rich source of protein. Little that we know, a recent study has been conducted discovering the beneficial effects of eggs on the blood pressure and heart health.
An article published on technology.inquirer.net, says the importance of getting a daily dose of egg to the body. As per the American Egg Board, munching an egg per day can actually decrease the risk of certain heart diseases and stroke by 12%, contrary to the common connotation that it promotes bad cholesterol. This is based on 33 years of study on 276, 000 people with heart issues and 308, 000 stroke patients about their egg intake.
The head of the research team named Dominik Alexander from US EpidStat Institute conveyed that: “Eggs do have many positive nutritional attributes, including antioxidants, which have been shown to reduce oxidative stress and inflammation.” One egg is comprised of 6 grams of essential proteins and the yolk has lutein and zeaxanthin. Also, it has natural vitamins important in nerve health and avoiding strokes, such as E, D, and A.
Despite the common stigma, Alexander emphasized the value of eggs: “They are also an excellent source of protein, which has been related to lower blood pressure.”
Even though the study shows the positive impact of egg consumption, Alexander did not deny that the research has a long way to go to further establish the relationship of eating eggs in preventing stroke and heart illnesses.
